TOWNSHIP ADMINISTRATOR - (973)-912-2201
The Township Administrator is the Chief Administrative Officer of the organization. The Administrator is appointed by the Township Committee based on education, training, experience and knowledge of local government. All department directors and employees report to the Administrator. The Administrator is responsible for the planning of the annual budget, capital projects, personnel, insurance and labor negotiations. The Administrator attends all meetings of the Township Committee, provides input and advice, but does not vote. The Administrator insures that all directives and policies of the Township Committee are implemented and that modifications to those policies and ordinances are addressed by the Committee.
JITNEY SERVICE
Jitney service is provided by the Township of Springfield for an annual fee of $600 or $150 per quarter. The daily fee for the Jitney is $3 per ride. Parking is included. The Jitney runs from the Springfield Pool, Morrison Road, to the Short Hills Train Station. For further information, please contact Linda Donnelly, Deputy Township Clerk, at 973-912-2201.
